The words soul and body, taken from the Ukrainian national anthem, echo what proud soldiers and civilians are willing to give for their freedom — soul and body — everything. The national emblem is an important symbol of freedom for Ukrainian and was used by patriots to demonstrate support of the country’s succession from the USSR. In Ukrainian culture, the Tree of Life is an enduring national symbol of prosperity. Its blossoming flowers feature the names of cities that have suffered in this war in the hope that they will once again prosper. And the words of Ukrainian freedom fighters, along with their stories of resistance and courage, have inspired the nation to fight.
