In the last stanza of the Ukrainian National Anthem, we see what proud soldiers and civilians, families, friends and neighbors are willing to give for their freedom — soul and body — everything.
Nay, thou art not dead, Ukraine, see, thy glory born again, And the skies, O brethren, upon us smile once more! As in Springtime melts the snow, so shall melt away the foe, And we shall be masters in our own home.
Soul and body, yea, our all, offer we at freedom’s call We, whose forebears, and ourselves, proud Cossacks are!
We chose those words as both a reminder of their sacrifice and a reminder of who we help with your donations and what they are fighting for.
